August 2011 ~ Present

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Total start up of Beko Australia and New Zealand of all  systems and staff.   Involving finding suitable buildings in Australia and New Zealand.  Furniture fitout, layout of warehouses and showrooms, full IT support, implementing SAP system for orders, invoicing and finance, total set up with Turkey Head Office (parent company Arcelik), setting up total telecommunications including EDI with our Retailers and our Freight partners. Negotiation of all contracts including lease vehicles, transport and photocopiers.  Interviewing and employing 41 staff (with a turnover currently of 10 staff in 5 years), setting up total logistics network and 3pl warehousing.   Responsible for all HR duties including personal development, coaching, mentoring and performance management and keeping up morale.  I am described as tough but fair.   As part of the management team we are responsible for setting the strategic plan for the year, implementing, maintaining and monitoring KPIs and reporting back to Parent company.  I have a positive and constructive approach to problem solving and teach the “formula of understanding” to all administration staff so they understand what part of their role affects the rest of the business  I am also I am be big believer in cross training.

 

  • Managing Director of Beko A & NZ Pty Ltd set up Fisher & Paykel in Australia.  Due to my experience in start up I was headhunted for the role of GM Operations & HR for this large Whitegoods operation, including feasibility and budget preparations before start up.
